The 2026 Commercial Fleece Competition, held as part of the Elders SA Merino Expo, showcased an exceptional standard of wool from South Australian commercial growers. The event highlighted the quality, consistency and pride behind the state’s wool industry, with strong participation across ewe and hogget classes.
This new addition to the Expo program was well supported and provided a valuable platform for producers to benchmark and celebrate their wool. Importantly, the competition also raised funds for the SAICPA North East Branch, supporting rural and remote families to access education and opportunities.
