Background:

Rhiannon is the mother of two daughters and, together with her husband, they operate a beef cattle and goat enterprise northwest of Cunnamulla. Their daughters began their education through distance education before transitioning to the local primary school, and they are now boarding students at Stuartholme School in Brisbane.

Rhiannon holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness and her professional background includes having worked in rural banking, natural resource project management, small business operations, and over two decades of voluntary leadership across various community organisations. Living in a small, close-knit rural community has fostered a deep commitment to service, particularly in areas that support families in remote regions.

This has led to Rhiannon’s involvement with the Isolated Children's Parents’ Association (ICPA) which includes previously serving as President of the Cunnamulla Branch, where she had the privilege of convening the 2021 State Conference, celebrating 50 years of ICPA Qld. Rhiannon was elected as a State Councillor for ICPA Qld at the 2024 Conference, and led the Schools (Facilities) portfolio in 2024–2025. In 2025-2026 she added to this role the leadership of the Tertiary, Trade and Training portfolio. At the 2026 Conference in Atherton, Rhiannon was honoured to accept the role of Secretary of ICPA Qld.
