Natalie has lived and worked alongside her husband and 2 sons, on their family cattle property North East of Augathella, for the past 20 years. Prior to this, Natalie has lived in Brisbane, Charleville and Roma whilst working in Human Resources, Administration, Community Development and Training roles, utilising skills gained completing a Behavioural Science Degree.
During the first 10 years of her boys schooling, Natalie was their Distance Education Home Tutor (Kindy to Year 7). In addition, she was active in the Distance Education School Community as a Parent Representative and has had a variety of involvement in the local community. She has been a member of the Augathella Branch since her boys were preschool age and is now in her third year as Secretary of the Branch. She has been involved in education as an assistant in early childhood, as a trainer for adults (digital communications and technology), and has experienced hands-on remote education with her family from Kindy, Distance Education, Boarding and now Tertiary. Natalie will bring this knowledge and passion to the role of State Councillor as she leads the Communications portfolio in 2025-2026.
Having a local focus and long held passion for living, working and educating children remotely, including the challenges that brings, Natalie is inspired by ICPA QLD’s professionalism and far reach. Natalie is keen to learn from a wonderful team to be able to contribute to continued advocacy for rural individuals, families and communities.
