Background:
Julia lives with her husband Russ on a family-owned beef cattle property, "Low Holm" west of Charters Towers in north Queensland. Their two older children attend boarding school while their youngest now completing primary school at home through Distance Education.
Julia grew up at Low Holm and completed her primary education through the Primary Correspondence School in Brisbane before attending boarding school for secondary and completing a teaching qualification at university. Learning and teaching are passions she’s been able to develop through teaching in mainstream schools and her own children at home.
She appreciates everything that ICPA has done for rural education and feels strongly in building on previous achievements.
