“Far North Queensland Branch acknowledges and thanks State Council for its continued advocacy to all relevant government departments and Ministers regarding the introduction of a Distance Education Supervisor Subsidy; and further, that this Branch supports ongoing efforts to progress this initiative to assist rural and remote families with the cost of providing compulsory supervision for their children undertaking Distance Education.”
Explanation:
Rural and remote families continue to face significant financial and employment pressures in meeting compulsory supervision requirements for Distance Education. Ongoing advocacy is necessary to progress the introduction of a subsidy to support equitable access to education.
