Motion:
“That ICPA Qld works with Queensland Boarding Schools to raise awareness of the unique needs and challenges faced by rural students particularly the geographically isolated and encourage them to support equitable access to education through financial measures such as specific bursaries targeted at that group.”
Explanation:
The whole community has a role to play in ensuring no Australian child or family is disadvantaged due to their postcode. We encourage all boarding schools to make funds available specifically to address financial support to our rural and remote families so that they too can access a fair go, equitable education comparable to their urban cousins.
