I am a second generation Springsure/Rolleston member and became involved with the branch a quite a few years ago when my kids started school. I became quite concerned with what was happening within the education system – especially in small schools. I quickly learned that you get nowhere fighting a battle by yourself. By first joining our branch and seeing what ICPA can do as a whole, I found out that the problems that I was experiencing were also being felt both state and nationwide. There is a great deal of information available and everyone I have come into contact with, within ICPA have gone above and beyond. ICPA is apolitical which means that they are tied to no political party and therefore are able to push agendas and policies as far as required to get the preferred outcome. I know that everyone has very busy lives but I personally believe that joining and contributing to ICPA and our Springsure Rolleston Branch specifically, will benefit both myself, my kids and our community. If we don’t stand up for our children’s education, who will?
