Tim Agar – Charleville Branch Life Member, 1977
Tim Agar was a founding member of the Charleville Branch of ICPA, taking on the important role of inaugural Secretary/Treasurer when the Branch was formed on 25 November 1971. He remained in this position until May 1973, helping establish the Branch during its formative years.
In May 1973, Tim became President of the Charleville Branch, continuing in this leadership role until his retirement from the position in November 1976. Throughout these years, he gave generously of his time and worked consistently on behalf of the Branch and the families it represented.
Tim’s commitment to ICPA was particularly significant given his proximity to a school bus service, which meant his own family was ineligible to receive AIC allowances. Despite not personally benefiting from this assistance, he remained committed to the work of ICPA and advocating for the needs of isolated families.
In recognition of his contribution as a founding executive member, his years of leadership and his dedicated service to ICPA, Tim Agar was awarded Life Membership of the Charleville Branch on 28 October 1977. His Life Membership badge was later presented on 9 November 1984, recognising his important contribution to the establishment and early development of the Branch.
