Rev. Don Neuendorf – Cairns Radio Branch Life Member, 1983
Rev. Don Neuendorf was a valued supporter of the Cairns Radio Branch, giving dedicated service to isolated families throughout the extensive area covered by the Branch. His contribution was particularly valued for the pastoral care and support he provided to families living with the challenges of distance and isolation.
During his time serving the region, Rev. Neuendorf was appointed Padre of the Sickbrett Patrol. Through this role, he provided support to isolated families and became recognised for his commitment to the people living and working across the remote areas serviced by the patrol.
His contribution to ICPA was not centred on formal Branch executive positions, but rather on the care, encouragement and service he provided to families. His nomination specifically recognised his “dedicated service for all the isolated families in our area”, reflecting the high regard in which he was held by Cairns Radio Branch members.
In recognition of this dedicated service, Rev. Don Neuendorf was awarded Life Membership of the Cairns Radio Branch.
