Branch Life Member
Background:

Angus Cameron was awarded Life Membership of the Aramac/Muttaburra Branch in 1986 in recognition of his dedicated service to ICPA and his significant contribution to the establishment and development of the Branch.

Angus played an important role in the formation of the Aramac/Muttaburra Branch, chairing its inaugural meeting on 24 November 1971 and being elected to the first Branch Committee.

In March 1973, Angus was elected Branch President, a position he held for four years. During this time, he represented the Branch at meetings and conferences, including as a delegate to State Conference in September 1974. From 1973 to 1979, Angus and his wife Denise represented the Branch at numerous State Conferences, as well as the Federal Conference held in Charleville.

At the 1977 AGM, Angus stepped down as President but continued his service as Branch Vice President, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the organisation and its advocacy for geographically isolated families.

His Life Membership recognised many years of leadership, representation and dedicated service, beginning with the very establishment of the Aramac/Muttaburra Branch and continuing well beyond his time as President.
