Background:

Anneli lives with her husband Iain on a cattle property in the Clarke Creek/Nebo district. They have three children who all started their education through Capricornia School of Distance Education with Anneli as their Home Tutor. Later, all three attending boarding school. Anneli's eldest son is currently completing an apprenticeship in Toowoomba, her daughter is at university and her youngest son is at boarding school and undertaking a school-based apprenticeship. 

Before marrying, Anneli completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and has taught in many different settings, including metropolitan, rural and remote. She has spent time as a classroom teacher and in leadership roles.  She currently provides teacher relief to schools in her district. 

During the past two decades, Anneli has been involved with a number of community groups and is very passionate about educating youth and the long-term viability of rural communities. Anneli was a founding member of the Clarke Creek ICPA Branch and has held various executive roles spanning over a decade. She joined State Council in 2021 at the Cunnamulla Conference.  

Anneli enjoys the passion and drive of such a well-respected and professional organisation that strives to achieve equitable education for all rural and remote children.
