St George

Welcome to the St George Branch!

St George is the Business centre of the Balonne Shire. It is situated in Queensland, just north of the New South Wales border. This is a region of much diversity in both industry and unique natural attractions. Grazing of livestock and broad acre farming go hand in hand with irrigated cotton and horticultural crops like grapes, onions, broccoli and blueberries. The Shire is rich in native bird and animal life, wide open spaces and beautiful waterways.

The St George branch runs an annual week long Breaker Camp for Primary aged children of ICPA members. The art and sport camp offers children a chance to improve their tennis and swimming ability while also being introduced to sports and arts by qualified coaches and tutors not available in the area.

A Bursary for the year 6 students of our branch is also offered annually. The children complete an hour long exam with the successful applicant receiving $300. At the Awards Evening for each of the 4 schools in our catchment area, an ICPA award is presented to students.

The branch caters for local functions and clearing sales to raise money to fund these activities. We love to welcome new families to our branch.
