ABOUT EUSTON
Euston is a historic and scenic Murray River town in south-western New South Wales, Australia. With Euston on the NSW side of the river and Robinvale on the Victorian side of the river, the area is surrounded by agriculture and a deep connection with the river that separates the two towns.
Euston is gateway to Balranald, Yanga National Park, World Heritage Willandra Lakes and Mungo Natonal Park and the outback. Sitting at the heart of Euston is the popular Euston Club and Resort right on the banks of the Murray River.
Lock 15 (Murray locks and weirs) on the Murray River is just downstream of Euston and provides a pool of irrigation water and ensuring that the river near Robinvale Euston is permanently available for water activities. The weir and lock were completed in 1937, the last one built on the Murray River system.
Whilst in Euston, take a stroll through the township and view the six plaques that have been erected on sites of historical significance. Each plaque is accompanied by photo and text describing a time and place in the history of Euston. The plaques are located at the following places around Euston: at Euston Court House, opposite the Royal Hotel, at Euston Public School, on the road outside the Euston Club, with two plaques along the Murray River’s edge at the car park near the River at the bottom of the Club.

Euston is located on the Sturt Highway between Balranald and Mildura and is well worth the road trip, but if you are limited for time, it is only a 40 minute drive from the Mildura Airport, with numerous daily flights into Mildura from Sydney and Melbourne.
Taxi and hire car services are available from the airport. We will seek to assist by looking at a shuttle bus option once we know how many people are flying into Mildura.
