Kasie lives on a family run cattle property South West of Clermont in the Central Highlands. Kasie and her husband Josh have 6 beautiful children - 4 girls & 2 boys. The eldest Hayley, has just finished Year 11 at boarding school in Townsville and is preparing for Year 12 in 2021, Logan attends the local state high school and has just finished Year 9, Jorja has just completed her first year at boarding school for Year 7 in Townsville. Tayla & Isla are entering into Year 5 and 3 in 2021 with Charters Towers School of Distance Education - which Kasie currently is Home Tutor for. Lastly, little Beau who is about to begin his schooling in 2021 with e-Kindy. Kasie is a born and bred Clermont local who attended the local small school for her 7 years of Primary education & then did correspondence via Charters Towers School of the Air for secondary school.
Kasie understands the many problems that arise within small schools, bus travel, distance education & living remotely having experienced most of it all firsthand. Kasie joined the Clermont branch of ICPA in 2012, a short while after joining she took on the role of branch Treasurer in which she still holds today, she attended her first state conference in Townsville & first Federal conference in Brisbane. Kasie is very much looking forward to the new challenges ICPA will bring and being a part of this wonderful group to help achieve equity in education for all isolated children
