Helen Heath was a longstanding member of the Blackall Branch of ICPA, contributing more than 20 years of dedicated service to the organisation. She was elected to the Branch Committee in 1986 and went on to hold several executive positions, including many years as Secretary, as well as President and Immediate Past President.
Helen was also a strong supporter of ICPA conferences, representing the Blackall Branch at both State and Federal Conferences across Australia. Her first conference was the 1989 State Conference in Birdsville, and over the years she attended conferences in Alice Springs, Winton, Charleville, Adelaide, Broome, Hughenden and Griffith.
Whether leading the Branch, keeping its records up to date or supporting fundraising activities, Helen consistently gave her time and energy wherever it was needed. She convened and supported many Branch activities, including Blackall Ram Days, car rallies, sheep and bull sale days, show and street stalls, selling raffle tickets and catering.
Helen was highly regarded for her honesty, professionalism, knowledge of ICPA and willingness to accept responsibility. Her commitment, organisational skills and generous willingness to share her knowledge made her a valued and respected member of the Blackall Branch.
In recognition of her exceptional service and outstanding commitment to ICPA, Helen Heath was awarded Life Membership of the Blackall Branch in 2001.
