Home for Anna and her husband, Andrew is Newcastle Waters Station in the Northern Territory. Their three daughters, Clementine (Year 10), Harriet (Year 9) and Agatha (Year 8), have grown up experiencing almost every type of remote education: a small single-classroom school, Distance Education, and now boarding at an interstate school.
A former member of the Yaraka/Isisford ICPA branch and an active member of the Katherine branch and NT State Council, Anna is dedicated to advocating for rural and remote students to ensure they have access to the same educational standards, opportunities and support as urban students. She firmly believes that where a child lives should not determine the quality of education they receive and the ever-increasing costs to educate our children should not be the reason people leave rural, remote or regional jobs and communities.
With a professional background in executive roles, policy, strategy and governance, she is passionate about the role of effective advocacy in influencing positive outcomes for young people in rural Australia. Anna is currently employed by Consolidated Pastoral Company, is the founder of GroWQ Ltd, former Board Director of RACQ Foundation and currently chairs the Northern Territory Cattleman’s Association Policy Committee.
