Sam lives in Karlgarin 50km west of Hyden with her husband and two children on the family farm. Elizabeth and Mathew attend Albany Senior High School and board at the Albany Residential College.
Sam is currently the Eastern District Branch Vice President and has also held the position of President and Branch Treasurer. Sam put her hand up for State Council at the 2020 State Conference to be more informed about the issues facing our isolated children as the population in rural and remote areas is diminishing.
Sam grew up in Derby with her parents and 3 siblings before moving to Perth for schooling in year 8. She attended Santa Maria College for 2 years and finished her education at Ursula Frayne Catholic College.
Sam's passions include swimming and netball, and is a coach of both of these sports. Sam is currently the Swimming Supervisor for the towns of Hyden, Kondinin and Kulin; and also works part-time in Hyden.
