Donna lives on Booloomatta Station Reserve in South Australia, near Broken Hill, with her partner, Tim, and their two young children, Arie and Wyatt. Both children attend Broken Hill School of the Air. Through her role as their schoolroom supervisor and as treasurer of the school’s P&C, Donna developed a strong passion for and connection to distance education.
In her spare time, Donna is heavily involved in conservation work on the reserve and continues to pursue her other passions from a previous career as a remedial massage therapist and acupuncturist.
Donna became involved in the ICPA 12 months ago, shortly before attending her first state conference. It quickly became clear that she was passionate about improving educational opportunities for rural and remote children so they are equal to those available to their urban peers. Since then, Donna has expanded her involvement from the North East Branch to the South Australian ICPA State Council.
