Bek Rasheed
Background:

Bek is a member of the Flinders Ranges Branch, which she joined a few years ago. She grew up on a farm near Orroroo and attended the local area school before moving to Adelaide for 10 years. This included boarding at Loreto College, playing several sports and completing a Bachelor of Education degree.

Bek taught at Roxby Downs Area School and Walford in Adelaide before moving back to the Orroroo district to Minburra Station, where she lives and works with her husband, Jon, and their three children. Their eldest is at boarding school in Adelaide and two at the Orroroo Area School.

Since having children, Bek has completed an Agribusiness Diploma, AICD course, Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Women’s Leadership Course and now helps run the station. She brings previous Board experience at RICE, North Adelaide Football Club, Orroroo Area School, and various other sporting and community organisations.

Bek is looking forward to working alongside a passionate group of people and advocating for the best possible outcomes for rural, regional and remote education for our children and families.
