Background:
Catherine Atkins and her husband live and work at Bullo River Station, Northern Territory.
She has lived in the Kimberley’s for the past 24 years and has three children aged 16, 17 and 19.
Up until year 8 Catherine's children were educated either through School of the Air or in a remote school. They then went on to boarding school interstate and their daughter is now going into year 11 in Brisbane.
Catherine appreciates what ICPA does for remote children’s education, so when she saw that the ICPA NT State Council was in need of a secretary, she put her hand up to become involved and support ICPA as it had supported her throughout the years of her children's remote education.
