Brewarrina Branch of ICPA was formed on 23rd February, 1971. This was the fourth established branch in NSW and the 7th Federal branch.
Brian and Frances Allen became the first branch President and Secretary and Nola Trebeck the first Treasurer.
The branch has six Life Members - Brian Allen (deceased) and Fran Allen, Jenny McLellan, Maizie Woodrow (deceased), Vivienne Slack-Smith and Michael Davis - all great strengths to our branch. Jenny McLellan was a foundation member of the branch, and went on to serve on both State and Federal Council, holding the position of Federal President of ICPA for four years from 1995.
Both Vivienne Slack-Smith and Michael Davis served time on State Council and held various portfolios during their time there They are still much valued members of our branch.
In 2021, our Branch celebrated 50 years since formation. We still have many active members & are proud to be able to celebrate such a successful contribution to our isolated children.
