School Leavers Information Kit (SLIK)
The SLIK has been especially developed to help school leavers with their education, training and work options. It provides:
- information and support to help with decisions about post-school career pathways
- information on work and education options such as university, vocational education and training (including apprenticeships and traineeships), volunteering and community service
- tips and resources to help apply for jobs, and
- resources outlining government financial support and subsidies available.

The SLIK is supported by the Parents and Guardian’s Guide for School Leavers to help start careers conversations at home.
Study Assist
Study Assist contains information for students about government assistance for financing tertiary study including links to study options, subsidised fees and government loans (HELP and VET Student Loans), loan repayments, scholarships and additional student income support options.
Beyond School Study Guide
Beyond School Study Guide is a digital resource aimed at year 10 to year 12 students that provides information on tertiary study options and government assistance.
Myfuture
Myfuture is a Government-funded service, supported by industry, that supports students to develop the skills and confidence to make more informed career decisions. myfuture’s tools and resources give students the opportunity to learn more about themselves, explore career opportunities, and expand their knowledge about the world of work in a secure, and private space, at their own pace. myfuture is targeted and tailored to the education community, providing users with free access to trusted, impartial and reliable career information based on research and evidence.

Course Seeker
Course Seeker is a national Higher Education information website launched late 2018. This website is a one stop shop for giving current and prospective students the ability to easily research and compare higher education courses by course, study area, institution, admission criteria, state and application pathways for higher education courses. It has information about courses, both online and on-campus across Australia. The information enables direct comparison of admission criteria and application processes across different courses and providers.

The Good Universities Guide
The Good Universities Guide assists students and families to find courses at Australia’s universities, TAFEs and Training colleges.
Leaving School
The Leaving School site produced by Services Australia has resources for students embarking on further study or entering a trade or full time work. It contains information on support available, payments available for students, trainees/apprentices and job seekers and useful links including for assistance on writing a resume, finding work experience and starting your own business.
ICPA (Aust) Tertiary Access Research
In May 2013, this survey was commissioned by the Federal Council of the Isolated Children's Parents' Association of Australia (ICPA Aust.) as a means to examine the key factors that limit the ability of many young people from rural and remote areas of Australia, to access tertiary education.
