Background:
Ruth lives on a property near Dongara. She grew up in Mt Magnet before heading to boarding school and university.
Ruth worked with children in a community role in Yalgoo for a few years before living on a nearby station with her husband. She was a School of the Air home tutor to her children for the next 10 years. Her children now attend high school across both boarding and distance education platforms.
Ruth is passionate about advocating for quality education for rural children at all stages, as she firmly believes bush kids have a lot to contribute and deserve nothing but the best.
