Background:
Sonya and her husband Philip live at Merna Mora Station in the Flinders Ranges, where the Fels family have lived for about 140years. They run cattle and sheep along with a busy tourism business.
Philip was one of the first children to attend distance education through the Remote and Isolated Children's Exercise (RICE) and later attended School of the Air (SOTA) through Port Augusta. Following in their fathers footsteps, their children Jessica and Lachlan also completed their primary schooling through SOTA and attended High school at Urrbrae Agricultural School. Currently living in Adelaide to further their education Jessica is at Uni doing an Ag Science degree and Lachlan is completing year 12.
Sonya enjoys spending time with her family.
