Background:

I grew up in Sweden with my family and once I finished secondary school I started my journey of travelling.  I soon arrived in Australia where I quickly figured out that the life in the city definitely wasn’t my cup of tea. The outback on the other hand, I quickly fell in love with the vastness of the country and the red dust and realised that this is where I belong.

I got a job as a Jillaroo on a cattle station in the Kimberley’s where I did a couple of cattle seasons and also met my now husband, Byron. We lived in the north together for a while where I  started a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, though didn’t get to finish this as we made the decision in late 2009 to move back to Byron’s family station, Weekeroo which is in South Australia located 350 km north east from Adelaide or 150km west of Broken Hill, just of the Barrier Highway.

These days I am teaching our three daughters, Ella in year 5, Hanna in year 3 and Sophie in year 1, through Broken Hill SOTA, while I am also trying to help Byron out on our station. In my spare time I enjoy training working dogs.

I am a member of the NE branch and this is my first time with state council.
