Kirsty is a member and President of the Marla Oodnadatta Branch and has been a member of SA State Council in the past.
Kirsty grew up on a property north of Port Augusta and completed her early years of schooling through Distance Education and at a face-to-face school before attending boarding school in Adelaide for secondary schooling. Kirsty completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of South Australia as well as a Graduate Diploma of Psychology through Monash University and taught in several different country schools before moving to the Far North of SA.
Kirsty alongside her husband Cameron now manage The Peake Station, a beef cattle property located between Oodnadatta and William Creek. They have 4 children who attend School of the Air (SOTA) Port Augusta and Kindy through the Remote and Isolated Children’s Exercise (RICE).
Kirsty has been involved with ICPA since signing up to the Marla Oodnadatta Brach in 2012. Since then, Kirsty has been an active member on the Board of RICE for 10 years, SOTA and other local community organisations. Kirsty also has good knowledge of governance having recently completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Course.
ICPA has provided an opportunity to mix and meet with others and a forum to show the dedication she has for rural and remote education.
