In 2006, Life membership was presented to Bernadette and Digby Giles, formally of Wintinna Station. They have been valued members of the Marla Oodnadatta ICPA Branch since the Branch’s inception in 1988 with Bernadette taking up the Vice President role. Bernadette and Digby have been wonderful supporters not only with their willingness to attend meetings, State and Federal conferences, but also with their encouragement to other members and expertise in catering.
Bernadette and Digby along with their two children Leah and Trent, walked the same path many others in outback Australia have and continue to do so with schooling their children though distance Ed and then navigating boarding school in Adelaide. Bernadette and Digby left Wintinna in 2015 moving to Adelaide and although not now active members, they continue to receive correspondence and be updated with all things SA ICPA.
