Cindy grew up on Anna Creek Station on the Western side of Lake Eyre. During her early years of education there were a lot of children on Anna Creek, so they were lucky enough to have a Government school for us all. She then moved to Nilpinna station and continued school through correspondence. Finally it was on to Adelaide to complete high school and her hair dressing apprenticeship.
In 1985 Cindy married Trevor and moved to Muloorina station on the Eastern side of Lake Eyre. They have raised 3 children through SOTA and were one of the first families to move from HF radio to the computer with our youngest. Along with working the station and teaching her own children she also worked passionately on many portfolios with the ICPA over the years.
Cindy has seen many changes come and go and witnessed ICPA make a difference in many people’s lives. Cindy believes we need to keep fighting for the rights of all rural, remote and isolated children in Australia.
