Pedals Magazine - April 2023 Edition

From the Editor

Hello Readers, 

Each edition I am overwhelmed by the time members and stakeholders take to put together pieces for Pedals Magazine and the April 2023 edition is no exception. In this jam-packed issue, you will find contributions from 16 members, across 11 branches, 2 state councils, Federal Council and our federal conference committee. This is no small feat considering that Pedals Magazine, like everything ICPA, is built from people volunteering their time. So, to all who have contributed to Pedals in the past, have contributed to this issue and will contribute in the future – I thank you, I feel lucky to get a glimpse into your worlds’ and you make my job of compiling each edition a joy.

I got my first taste of ICPA when I attended Mount Isa BOTA Sports for Bush Kids as a sports coach in December 2018, so it was lovely to read how the 2022 event was a huge success. It was also great to see Federal Secretary, Kim Hughes be awarded Life Membership with the Richmond Branch.  I think everyone can agree that this accolade could not have gone to a more deserving person.

You will have noticed that this edition has included a Sky Muster Connectivity magnet from Nbn. Federal President Alana Moller and Immediate Past Federal President Wendy Hick have been working closely with Nbn to provide a resource to support all members using Sky Muster at home. This booklet aims to provide ICPA members with assistance and support with their Nbn Sky Muster connections and utilise their service to its full capacity.

As always, I hope that you find this issue insightful, interesting and an appropriate showcase of how ICPA is entrenched in regional, rural and remote communities across Australia.
