The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Employment, Education and Training will inquire into and report on the perceptions and status of vocational education and training (VET), and Commonwealth supported information on VET available to students, and how they impact:
- education and training choices of students, particularly those who lack the necessary foundation skills, or experience other disadvantages; and
- employer views and practices in relation to engagement with VET.

The report of this review, Facing the Facts – a review into public education in Western Australia, was formally launched and presented to the Minister for Education in November 2023.

Submission to 2023 Inquiry into Support for Autistic Children and Young People in Schools
Legislative Assembly, Education and Health Standing Committee will consider various questions within its terms of reference, including:
The prevalence of autism in WA and projected demand for support in schools.
- What factors are affecting the prevalence of autism in WA?
- Is autism more prevalent across certain demographics than others?
- How will an increase in the prevalence of autism affect the availability of support for autistic students in schools?
Current support available for autistic students in WA schools, including consideration of how:
- Evidence-based practices are implemented across the school system; and
- School supports are coordinated with other service areas to respond to the needs of autistic students and their families.
