Investing in regional Australia has never been more important – a commitment that Telstra maintained throughout the year. In the five years to the end of June 2020, we invested $7.5 billion in our national mobile network, with $3 billion of that in regional areas. Much of this regional investment has gone toward the upgrade of technology from 3G to 4G, and even 5G in some areas, deployment of additional network capacity, and new or improved coverage in selected areas.
