Katie grew up in Brisbane and after finishing high school she moved out to south west QLD where she worked as a Jillaroo on Retreat Station. There she met her now husband, Simon and in 2008 they moved to South Australia and started managing Commonwealth Hill Station in the north west.
In 2014 they left Commonwealth Hill and moved to the north east of SA to manage Sturt Vale Station.
Here they welcomed their two children, Alexandra, and Edward and both kids do school via Port Augusta SOTA and they’re also lucky enough to get to attend a face-to-face school at Booborowie on Friday’s.
Katie has been involved with ICPA since 2014 and as a parent/supervisor she is passionate about advocating for better education for geographically isolated children.
