Eyre Branch

Welcome to the Eyre Branch page.

The Eyre Branch was formerly known as the Lock & District Branch (from 1989 - 2004).

An excerpt from Pedals No. 32 June 1989 (page 74) reports 'A new branch has formed at Lock on the Eyre Peninsula. Mr Trevor Pearce was elected President and Mrs Betty Pearce Secretary at the branch inaugural meeting recently. More news of this branch later. Congratulations to the members of this new branch, we look forward to their involvement in ICPA.'

A further report from Pedals No. 90 Jan 2004 (page 15) noted The Lock & District AGM was held on Sunday, September 8th via telelink. The meeting was facilitated by Jenny Gosling and 9 families were represented with State President Jane Gloster and Secretary Fiona Wilson also attending the meeting. The branch has been “sleeping” for a couple of years, and it was decided to continue the branch and make the most of modern technology for our meetings together with email and face to face meetings. Office bearers elected: President – Jenny Whittle, Sec: Annaleise Dolphin, Minute Sec: Rose Bowyer, Treasurer: Robyn Gunn, Publicity Officer: Jeanine Bascomb, State Council Delegates: Jenny Whittle, Caroline Longmire. Members are all positive about the task ahead and thank Caroline Longmire and Rose Bowyer for maintaining the branch for the past couple of years.

It is recorded that the Lock & District Branch changed their name to Eyre Branch on the 18 February 2004.
