By bringing NSW, VIC and QLD schools to major centres where they are all under one roof, the Expo gives your family the chance to discuss your educational needs directly with representatives of the school.

Schools taking part in the Boarding Expo showcase the exceptional opportunities they have to offer, including full-time and weekly boarding, high academic standards, access to modern technology, a caring and supporting academic and boarding environment and a wide range of co-curricular activities.

Choosing the school that best suits your child is one of the most important decisions you will make – even more so when it involves boarding. It is important that you choose a school that shares your family’s values and beliefs. You want your children to be living, learning and growing up in a nurturing environment within a dynamic community.

Choosing the school that best suits your child is one of the most important decisions you will make – even more so when it involves boarding. It is important that you choose a school that shares your family’s values and beliefs. You want your children to be living, learning and growing up in a nurturing environment within a dynamic community.

It is important that this community, and the people working in it, believe in and support your child and encourage strength and resilience in him or her. A boarding school should bring out honesty and goodness in your child and encourage them to achieve to the best of their ability.

You need to ask the right questions to know if a school is prepared to work with your child to build on their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and fulfil realistic ambitions.

It is vital you choose a school that shares your core values and beliefs. You want your children to be living, learning, creating, playing and growing up in a nurturing environment within a dynamic community. It is important that this community and those working within it have the utmost belief in your child; in his or her honesty and goodness, happiness, hopes and dreams, and strengths and confidence.

They must be prepared to work with your child in order to build strengths, overcome weaknesses and develop him or her into a wonderful young person full of ambition and courage who will go out into society full of personal pride and belief, ready and keen to contribute to the world.

This website helps you in the research process so that you can make the most of your visit to the Boarding Schools Expo. The checklist of questions to ask will start you thinking about all aspects of the boarding school experience and consider about what is important to your child – whether their talent is in sport, creative arts or academic pursuits. We have also listed the scholarships and bursaries that are available to help you plan for the cost of a quality education.

After you have spoken to the individual schools at the Expo, you may find you have considered schools that were not an option for you beforehand and that you can create a shortlist of schools to visit in person.

The schools exhibiting at the Boarding Schools Expo are all exceptional schools. Their past and present students are their best advertisement and you may even have the opportunity to meet some of them at the Expo.

Admission to the Expo is free and all are welcome, especially your children.
